Rig

The Rig and Sail Plan are by no means conventional. The Selden mast is 7/8 rig with swept back main shrouds. Two permanent furling forestays carry the 110% low cut yankee genoa and the matched staysail. Foreward of the main forestay is a detachable Code Zero furler.

Additionally Strider is equiped with a retractable bow sprit to carry an asymmetric spinnaker for off wind sailing.

The mainsail is a loose footed vertically battened in mast furler.

The whole philosophy behind the rig is that it should be quick safe and easy for the singlehander to operate from the cockpit without the need to go forward.
