The Concept 

The Strider 32 project was born out of a simple question. "Is it possible to combine the attributes of a racing yacht with a true blue water cruising yacht like the Vancouver?"

Looking around at yachts currently being produced most appear to be going down the same basic path of light displacement, fin and spade rudder racing yachts, which can be cruised. Very few can be described as blue water cruising yachts.

STRIDER 32 is different. Designed with blue water sailing in mind she will be a fast passage maker with comfort and ease of handling for the single hander or couple.

With her shallow draft long fluted keel STRIDER will be able to enter waters that are out of bounds to deep fin yachts and to enter and leave harbours sooner or later when others are confined by tides.
